Of the colour sliding down my rainbow to drown.
My teeth are ready and they’re sharper than my tongue,

I’ve been hiding miles of ancestral sorrow,
behind these pearly whites shining bright for tomorrow.
Hold my head high paint a smile for the world,
cover clouds casting a shadow over my birth.
I’ve been drystone-walling inequality, pent up aggression,
stuffing the gaps with my unease to give a nice impression.
Tooth fairy fairly close but barely watertight,
this damn is close to bursting under heavy duty floodlights.
And, damn right this damn would damage you,
pushing through emotional magnitude.
Forcing a grin through thin gritted teeth,
tasting the grit through the soles of my bare feet.
This grief, buried deep beneath,
stacks of wood cut by the keeper of the keeper of the key.
I’m keeping the real me free from years of fairytales,
slowly picking away dirt from underneath my nails.

Beautiful like the rosebud blossoming in summer lights,
sun raise the spirit make you live above life and beyond.

natural there’s a million reasons to love yourself,
so pick one.
